The 80 simple rooms here are comfortable, and the hotel also features a restaurant, bar and swimming pool. At the rough halfway point between Chitwan and Bardia, it’s a handy overnight stop when being driven between the national parks.
Lumbini itself has a fascinating history and cultural importance as it is where Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, was born according to tradition. Now a site of pilgrimage there are many monuments, monasteries and archaeological ruins to discover nearby.
