Overview
Boutique choice for foodies
This Georgian-Victorian townhouse is a charming base for exploring Cape Town and its excellent foodie scene of the Kloof Area just outside your door. Its central location also means that other popular spots like Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront are all within easy reach.
Cape Cadogan has undergone an extensive refurbishment in 2022. She is elegantly styled in beautiful emerald green, classic black and white, and touches of gold. This sophisticated style brings her firmly into the 21st century, without losing any of her charm.
There are just 19 rooms, each individually styled around the building's historic uniqueness, giving you a more personal experience than if you opted for one of the larger properties. When the weather is good, relax in the quaint courtyard, take a dip in one of the two heated pools or find a spot on the outdoor terrace. There’s a beautifully-appointed lounge with an open fireplace to ensure the wintery nights are cosy.

Take a personal and authentic look at life in the township by visiting Injongo Educare Creche in Mfuleni which More Community Trust supports. You’ll get to meet its founder Mavis Ngcongolo, take a tour of Khayelitsha and appreciate the view from Lookout Hill, visit the Langa Heritage Museum in the Old Pass Court building and stop in at the Guga Sthebe Arts and Culture Centre.
Community & Culture
Guests and staff alike are invited to get involved in the various local community development projects that the More Community Trust supports through the Get Your Hands Dirty initiative. This and other awareness campaigns help to promote philanthropic giving. The hotel is also committed to hiring locally, offering fair remuneration, creating opportunities for staff, and embracing diversity and inclusivity across the board. You’ll also find that all experiences of local culture offered by Cape Cadogan are authentic, educational and encourage discussion about sustainable living.
Conservation
Each of the More properties that are situated in nature reserves support conservation projects in the area to help maintain the integrity of the ecosystems. The NJ More Field Guide College and Nakavango Conservation Programme contribute to this work in a significant way.
Footprint
Cape Cadogan uses ethically-sourced local produce as far as possible. They also make a concerted effort to reduce all waste, and are always working towards more efficient water and energy use
