Overview
Golden grasslands
Here the safari comes right to you. During the annual Great Migration, you won’t even need to leave the camp to witness millions of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles pass through on their constant migration. But even outside the migration season Dunia is still ideally situated to explore the famous game of the Serengeti.
The camp is spacious and luxurious whilst still leaving the lightest possible footprint behind. Eight private tents overlook the golden grasslands. So each night enjoy the sun setting over the iconic pristine backdrop from your own terrace. This tranquil camp will provide a relaxing and traditional charm with its weathered wood, elegant linings and flickering lanterns.
There are so many options to explore the endless plains. Either head up in a hot air balloon or stick to the ground and enjoy the wilderness on your own exclusive safari. Otherwise, why not just kick back and soak in the beauty of the surrounding Serengeti from the comfort of the camp.

Conservation
The camp is partnered with AsiliaGiving which places huge importance on the environmental protection of wildlife and habitat as well as helping developing local communities. Conservation projects are funded by a tourism levy and guest donations. Education and communication projects promote and increase the appreciation and value for local biodiversity and wildlife. Initiatives include tourism management courses, teaching of new skills to provide an alternative to poaching and community forestation projects.
Community & Culture
The camp is the only all-female run camp in all of Africa acting as a beacon for women empowerment. The safari industry is a male dominated one so Dunia camps acts as a shining example for the promotion of gender equality across industries of Africa. The camp is also partnered with the Kamitei Foundation. The foundation contributes to community education improvement programmes. These are aimed to provide local students with scholarships to pursue advanced education in fields with good employment prospects, such as tourism, veterinary studies or nursing.
Footprint
Dunia Camp embraces the philosophy of leaving the lightest possible footprint on the earth and since 2009 it has been certified as carbon-neutral. The tents are powered using solar electricity showing the camp's policy on minimizing environmental impact. One of Niarra’s key ideologies is using tourism as a force for good and this is something that Dunia camp is well practiced in after receiving the highest level of ‘Tree’ by the Responsible Tourism board in Tanzania. The certification ensures that responsible and sustainable practices are embedded within all daily operations.
