Overview
Safari under the stars
Located in a private concession on the border of Chobe National Park and Namibia, Linyanti Expeditions is a seasonal camp evoking the spirit of a timeless under-canvas African safari.
With only six tents, the camp has an intimate atmosphere and relaxed, personalized service. For an added ‘wow’ factor, each tent has a gazebo mesh extension, where beds can be moved at night to give the experience of sleeping beneath a blanket of glimmering stars.
The main area has two canvas-covered hubs – a dining area with an open kitchen and a lounge – but the campfire is the real heart of the camp with exquisite views across the vast Linyanti Wetlands. The Chobe Enclave offers an abundance of wildlife species including large herds of elephants and buffalo making for exhilarating walking safaris which are the main focus here, while mokoro canoeing is a relaxing way to explore when the water levels rise.

Game drives
Led by an experienced guide, head out on morning and afternoon game drives. Being in a private concession allows for game drives after the sun has set when elusive nocturnal wildlife awakens to hunt, forage and live their lives under the cover of darkness.
-
Mokoro canoes
Traditionally the mokoro was the only form of transport through the waterways. Water levels permitting, glide through the rivers and tributaries on the lookout for birds and animals.
-
Walking safaris
Awaken your senses and discover all that the bush has to offer on a walking safari. Guided walks are led by qualified and passionate guides who share their knowledge and love of the bush.
Community & Culture
The African Bush Camps Foundation, which your stay directly supports, are committed to sustainable development, through creating opportunities that empower rural communities located in vulnerable wildlife areas in Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia.
It runs multiple projects that focus on addressing challenges that include unemployment, a lack of job opportunities, food scarcity, a lack of critical skills, poor education and health care infrastructure and resourcing, low school attendance, and dropouts due to financial constraints, wildlife poaching and preserving natural resources.
In Botswana, the foundation launched a female safari guide project that is targeted at creating job opportunities for local women as safari guides and bridging the gender divide in this traditionally male dominated career through skills training, mentorship, job shadowing, and rotations at African Bush Camps.
