Overview
An intimate camp in untouched wilderness
You’ll find Singita Mara River Tented Camp set in a stunning remote area at the northernmost tip of Serengeti National Park. Its location means you’ll be surrounded by some of the highest concentrations of wildlife, with great views of the Mara River. The camp has been built with as minimal impact on its environment as possible, and as a result, you get to experience a remarkable closeness to nature.
There are six bohemian-chic tents which can accommodate up to 16 guests. Two of them are family tents and are made up of two tents joined by a covered walkway with a shared deck. The use of natural materials and lots of light, create spaces that are truly relaxing and inviting. Tents include en suite outdoor bathrooms with a viewing section in the screen wall so that you can even admire the views while soaking in your tub.
During the long rainy season in March and April the camp is closed, but the rest of the year offers fantastic game viewing, particularly from June onwards. It’s also a good spot to catch the migration between July and November.

Community & Culture
While staying here, you have the opportunity to visit local communities and cultural and heritage sites, and the team at Singita Mara Tented Camp ensures you’re able to do so in a respectful and appropriate manner. They also employ more than half of their staff from the neighbouring villages.

Singita has partnered with the Grumeti Fund who manages anti-poaching teams, alien plant control, game census and reintroduction and research through the RISE environmental research facility.
Footprint
A significant number of single use plastics have already been eliminated and Singita is working to reduce non-recyclable plastic packaging even further. The short term goal is to be able to offer guests the option of offsetting their carbon emissions during their stay. They are also a One Planet Community member.
