Overview
Up-close with elephants
Located slightly west of its sister camp, Expeditions, tucked under the dappled shade of an Acacia tree grove, Somalisa Acacia sits on the edge of a seasonal floodplain in Hwange National Park.
This intimate camp is ideal for exclusive groups for families or private groups of safari-goers, made up of only two luxury family tents with inter-leading walkways between the parents' and children's rooms which are both ensuite, as well as two luxury standalone sail tents. Each tent includes mosquito netting sliding doors onto private decks boasting 180-degree views of the surrounding savannah plains.
The main areas of the camp include a boma perfect for bush dinners under the stars, a lounge and dining room overlooking a small elephant pool, often visited by the African giants creating excellent photographic opportunities and thrilling close encounters.
