Overview
Rajasthan's hidden gem
Sujan Jawai is one of our favourite wildlife sanctuaries in India. Cradled amidst dramatic rocks and the rugged beauty of the Jawai hills, this eco-lodge is the perfect place to explore the rural delights of Rajasthan. The experience is a less-discovered corner of Rajasthan that makes it feel truly special.
The camp's safari adventures are led by expert guides with intimate knowledge of the local ecosystem. With their expert eyes, you are likely to encounter leopards roaming free in the wilderness and a host of other wildlife. Every aspect of Sujan Jawai aims to connect guests with the natural rhythm of nature. Sunset yoga classes, riding in the wild or simply gazing at the star-lit sky.
There are ten luxury tented suites, each with a private deck with distant views into the bush. Private en-suite bathrooms include a bath and shower. The vibe is an African luxury safari with a generous dose of Indian heritage.
The food is always scrumptious, whether it's a picnic in the wilderness or dining around the campfire. Menus are designed using produce from the kitchen garden and ingredients from local farmers.

Riding in the Wild
Sujan Jawai is the proud home of over a dozen Marwari and Kathiawari horses. Riding these magnificent horses that are so culturally linked to India is a wonderful way to explore Rajasthan’s countryside.
-
Temple Trail
Jawai’s hills are peppered with temples and shrines. Over centuries, the communities have preserved much of their spiritual connection. Each of the nearly 300 temples in the region has its significance and legend. This trail will teach you how leopards are considered to be the guardians of this region.
Community & culture
Sujan Jawai works closely with the development and protection of community and culture via its NGOs, The Ranthambhore Foundation and The SNS Foundation. Initiatives include free primary health care to local communities, improving education in the early years and preserving the living culture of traditional music.
Footprint
Sujan is committed to anti-poaching and rewilding projects. The rewilding project focuses on returning farmed land to its original state. So far, 100sq m of wilderness has been restored from what was once farmland.
