Overview
Enchanting treehouses
Nestled among the canopy of an ancient coastal forest, Tsala Treetop Lodge is a charming Garden Route hideaway just 10km from the beaches, bars and boutiques of Plettenberg Bay.
Earthy colours, rich textures and handcrafted fittings pair with striking stone, vast windows and wood to create 10 treehouse suites, each with a private deck and plunge pool. There are also six two-bedroom villas with fire-warmed lounges and their own infinity pools looking out across the canopy.
Follow the raised walkways back to the impressive main lodge building where you’ll find a dining room and wine cellar, with the renowned Zinzi Restaurant beyond.

Community & Culture
Tsala Treetop Lodge is committed to a literacy programme that involves all Grade 3 learners in both the Phakamisani and Kwanokuthula primary schools. A number of our staff members give of their time to support this worthy programme which includes reading, writing and conversation with the learners. This process has greatly assisted the learners to achieve age-appropriate literacy skills to effectively access the curriculum in Grade 4, when the medium of instruction changes from their home language Xhosa to English.
Zinzi Restaurant, part of the same estate, assists by way of providing food parcels to the local Harkerville Primary school to ensure a wholesome meal for learners during school hours. Fresh produce is also donated to the St Patricks Church soup kitchen and the Masiqhame Group for the elderly and disabled in Kranshoek.
