Overview
Tradition with style
There's no better way to explore the Kenyan coast than by traditional sailing dhow. Tusitiri was originally handcrafted here as a trading vessel half a century ago before being meticulously restored into majestic and luxurious exclusive charter vessel in the Lamu Archipelago.
She is ideal for families or a group of friends wanting a unique, private multi-night experience amongst the beautiful islands of the north Kenyan coast, stopping at hidden villages, empty beaches and exploring turquoise waters teeming with marine life fringed by mangrove forests.
Life on-board is relaxed and centered on the deck, with cushioned seating areas and a dining area around the mast. Below deck, find day rooms, WC and dressing room. At night, brass lanterns light up the deck and comfortable white linen bedrolls are set up on deck under the stars.

Community & Culture
The Enasoit Collection story began with a Norwegian family's love for Africa. Born out of a spirit of adventure, their safari travels evolved into a lifelong journey of exploring Africa's wild spaces and developing and supporting community and wildlife conservation projects in East Africa.
Tusitiri Dhow is the family’s coastal home, and their history and love for Kenya is intimately felt through the dhow's charm and the professionalism of the crew, many of whom have sailed onboard Tusitiri for over twenty years. Tusitiri is one of East Africa’s last large trading dhows and through Tusitiri's restoration a special part of Kenya's Swahili cultural heritage is preserved.
