Overview
Safari in style
Begin beside the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe at Matetsi Victoria Falls. Surrounded by its own private reserve, here you can look forward to exciting game drives, guided walks and canoeing before a spectacular helicopter tour over the mighty falls.
Then head south to Botswana. In a country renowned for its luxury camps, we’ve handpicked two of the very best, both for their service and luxury as well as their action-packed safari experience and guiding. Ideal spots from which to explore the famous Okavango Delta and neighbouring Linyanti, contrasting areas in one of the world’s last great wildernesses where iconic species abound at every turn.
Even with the opulent experience, each property is run with a genuine sensitivity to its environment while supporting fantastic conservation and community projects.

Days 1 — 3
Marvel at Victoria Falls
Begin in Zimbabwe at the beautiful Matetsi Victoria Falls, a luxury safari lodge set on a private 15km stretch of the Zambezi River a short distance above the falls themselves. Explore the vast private reserve on day and night game drives, as well as walking safaris, while the meandering river is a great spot for canoeing and sunset boat cruises.
You can also learn about Matetsi’s conservation journey and support communities they support along the way. A helicopter flight over Victoria Falls’ thundering waters is a spectacular highlight.
Days 3 — 6
Explore the Okavango Delta
Drive across the border for a short light aircraft flight to your next camp, deep in the Okavango Delta. Each year, the Okavango River flows into northern Botswana, spilling out over the Kalahari to create the world’s largest inland delta. This creates a huge, diverse and dynamic ecosystem of islands and channels that are a haven for wildlife and the setting for one of the very best safari experiences in all of Africa. It’s also home to a handful of the very best safari lodges and camps renowned for both their prolific wildlife and luxury design.
Discover the Delta on a mix of land and water-based activities immersed in pristine wilderness, encountering exciting wildlife such as elephants hundreds, red lechwes, rich plains game, big cats, hippos, giraffes and more.
An iconic camp in a private 33,000-hectare reserve renowned for its character and legendary wildlife experience, even by the Delta’s high standards.
Situated in a diverse, wildlife-rich, private concession Sandibe Lodge melts into the surrounding delta scenery.
Days 6 — 9
Predator hunting in the Linyanti
Another short and scenic light aircraft flight north brings you to the neighbouring Linyanti and Savuti region, a remote and wild place of forest, marshes and plains. Staying in another of southern Africa’s finest camps, explore on exciting game drives – predators such as wild dogs, leopards and lions abound here alongside vast herds of elephants – and on guided walks that let you be a part of the wilderness.
Both our favoured options here have sustainability core to their ethos while supporting landscape-wide conservation efforts and local communities.
