Overview
Kenya, to yourselves
A fabulous private safari adventure to Kenya, perfect for friends and family after luxury, freedom and a great mix of activities.
Begin in Laikipia’s Borana Conservancy and the stunning Lengishu house where you can do as much or as little as you like, from encountering rhinos on foot, game drives and horseback safaris to hands-on conservation, cultural experiences and mountain biking. We’ve also included an unforgettable helicopter flight to see the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya and fish in its high-altitude lakes.
Then fly to a camp set up just for deep inside the iconic Mara triangle. If timed to coincide with the wildebeest migration, you’ll be right at the heart of the action as soon as you step outside your tent – though this stunning landscape is rich with wildlife year-round – and you’ll be free to explore at your leisure with your very own guide and vehicle.
End at Alfajiri on the Kenyan coast, relaxing on the beach, soaking up Swahili culture and snorkelling on coral reefs.

Days 1 — 2
A night in Nairobi
Begin your discovery of Kenya with a night at a hotel in a green suburb of Nairobi after being met at the airport. Relax after your flight or we can arrange private tours, such as to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s elephant orphanage.
Days 2 — 5
Tracking rhinos from Lengishu
South of Samburu, the rolling hills of Laikipia were once prime ranching land. Today, many properties have been restored to their wild natural state. Borana is one such pioneer who, with neighbouring Lewa, have created a beautiful 376 square kilometer sanctuary that is now the best place in all of Africa to encounter white and black rhinos that thrive here in numbers seen nowhere else.
You’ll be based out of the stunning and completely private Lengishu house, exploring Borana on game drives, walking safaris, mountain bikes and on horseback rides, with a chance to join hands-on conservation experiences and village tours all accompanied by your own private guide. A highlight here is taking a spectacular helicopter flight to fish for trout in high altitude lakes under the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.
Days 5 — 8
Private Mara migration safari
Discover one of Africa’s most important conservation and wilderness areas from your very own private safari camp set up at the heart of the action. The Maasai Mara hosts an astounding diversity and density of wildlife year-round, especially lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephants. Between July and October, millions of wildebeest and zebra cross from the Serengeti in Tanzania, creating an awe-inspiring natural spectacle known as the Great Migration.
You’ll get to enjoy game drives with a private guide and vehicle, giving you the freedom to explore the Mara in search of your favourite animals with no fixed safari schedule, returning to camp and a fabulous team of hosts, chefs and askaris there to make the experience unforgettable for your friends and family. And if you fancy a swim or a spa treatment, you’ll have access to the fabulous Angama Mara too.
Days 8 — 11
Relax on the on Kenyan coast
End in one of Alfajiri’s three chic private villas beside Diani Beach’s sands on Kenya’s southern coast. Time here can be spent exactly as you fancy, with a driver, butler and chef on hand for a completely personalised stay.
Take in the views from the pool, watching as local fisherman haul in their catch from traditional dhows, snorkel on a nearby reef and visit local villages. Diving courses, kite surfing, golf and boat trips to Kisite Marine National Park can also be arranged.
