Days 1 — 3
Marvel at Victoria Falls
Begin your adventure at a luxury safari camp alongside the meandering Upper Zambezi above the mighty Victoria Falls. Known in the local Lozi language as Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning ‘The Smoke That Thunders’, and in Tonga as Shungu Namutitima, or ‘Boiling Water’, the 108m tall and 1,700m wide roaring wall is a wonder of the natural world.
Try out some of the many exciting activities in the area such as white water rafting and scenic flights over the falls, and relax with a sunset river cruise on the lookout for elephants and hippos.
Days 3 — 6
Safari in Botswana’s Moremi Reserve
Hop aboard a light aircraft for a flight across the border into Botswana and the Moremi Reserve, a huge protected area that sits to the east of the Okavango Delta. It has a drier landscape than its neighbour, with a patchwork of woodland, savannah and lagoons where you can find a great diversity of wildlife on day and night game drives and exciting walking safaris led by an expert guide.
It’s a great spot to see wild dog packs on the prowl and leopard sightings are common. It’s also the area where black and white rhinos have been reintroduced in recent years making it a true ‘Big Five’ area.
Days 6 — 9
Discover the Okavango Delta
Another short and scenic light aircraft flight to your next camp, deep in the Okavango Delta. Each year, the Okavango River flows into northern Botswana, spilling out over the Kalahari to create the world’s largest inland delta. This creates a huge, dynamic ecosystem of islands and channels that are a haven for wildlife and the setting for one of the very best safari experiences in all Africa.
Discover the Delta with an exciting mix of land and water-based activities surrounded by pristine wilderness, encounter exciting wildlife such as elephants in their hundreds, red lechwes, rich plains game, lions, hippos, giraffes and more.
Situated in a diverse, wildlife-rich, private concession Sandibe Lodge melts into the surrounding delta scenery.
Days 9 — 13
Explore Cape Town
Cape Town is a wonderful way to end your trip. See the best of the city and its stunning surroundings on privately guided tours with plenty of time to discover the buzzing waterfront, art galleries, scenic viewpoints and restaurant scene together.
Spend days out indulging in the Winelands with a local expert and explore the Cape coastline, sharing a beach with penguins with a chance to spot whales from the shore.
